about
So, we really liked the song Voyager Two, and had not re-recorded it for "The Beeping in Our Hearts" As we had done with the other songs off of our debut EP "Sleep Tight, Lucky Grills."
I can't remember what made us decide to change the way the song was arranged, but we had practiced it in a quieter way a few times, tying to give it some more dynamic punch at the end.
We had recorded demos of all the songs we were going to put on "Beeping" and released them on tape in a very limited run. We used those demos as a way to figure out exactly how we would record the songs when we went to into the studio. We recorded this one around the same time.
I think it sounds really great and gives the song a different sort of life. It's like a choose your own adventure book now... Which "Voyager Two" will you choose?

lyrics
While you're awake, you don't think of me.
You think of everything else you know.
But, when you sleep your mind remembers me,
And pulls me toward the stars above.
Voyager, what have you done to me?
I think you're dreaming me, you're all alone.
Forevermore, you fall away from me,
And dream of the trajectory that pulls you home.
When you fall to sleep I will catch you there.
(When you fall to sleep)
When you fall to sleep I will meet you there.
(I'll meet you in your dreams)
When will you wake up?
I don't really know.
But when you wake up, I'll have to go.
Voyager, what have you done to me?
I think you're dreaming me, you're all alone.
Forevermore, you fall away from me,
And dream of the trajectory that pulls you home.
